Toucan
Onboard Wi-Fi entertainment with content accessible from passengers’ own devices.

THE CONTEXT
A closer look
at the work.
At The Attic Labs we developed Toucan, a wireless entertainment system for airlines. The proposal allowed passengers to access content stored on an onboard server via Wi-Fi from their own devices, without an internet connection during the flight. The team started with six people and grew to seven when José Granados joined; we worked from a friend’s attic.

- Planning content updates on the ground via 3G before take-off.
- Proposed destination offers and bookings, with requests stored onboard and sent after landing.
