Iván Arias Rodríguez

I am a telecommunications engineer and hold a PhD in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics. My career sits at the intersection of systems, language and people.

I have worked in R&D at Nokia, co-founded digital businesses, researched and taught at university, and led technology for Spanish-language AI. I especially enjoy programming and contributing directly to development.

Madrid, Barcelona, Helsinki, Kyiv, Granada and Bragança are part of a journey through which I have learned to connect disciplines, cultures and ways of thinking.

I mainly work with Python, JavaScript, PHP and SQL. I’m interested in leading AI projects while remaining involved in code, testing and technical decisions.

Oh, and I’m also a member of Mensa and La Facultad Invisible.

As CTO of TextRadar, I defined the architecture, product approach and databases. I built and led a team of up to seven people. I wrote much of the application, mainly the backend, but also contributed extensively to the frontend. The product analysed one or two documents to find discrepancies between their contents.
